October 17, 2009
Congratulations to Sulphur Springs Baptist Church for being this years winner of the Christian Cup and also to Trinity Baptist Church on winning the Clyde Ingram Trophy! Great job guys!!
This year has been a lot of fun and I hope the tournaments have been a blessing for everyone. I truly hope that we have been a good witness to those that are among us who are lost. That is what this league is about! Reaching them with the good news of Jesus Christ!
Thanks to all of you that have been a part of this league and hopefully we will continue to grow and reach more and more people through the game of golf. Thanks also to Debby Harper for the great food she has prepared for the tournaments. I have had a lot of you wanting her to continue next season and I think she may if all goes well with her. Wonderful job Debby!
If you guys know of any churches that would like to be a part of our league, have them contact me and we will get them going! Thanks again and I'll see you soon! Bro. Sammy

July 11, 2009
A big round of applause for how well everything moved at yesterdays tournament at Tri Cities! We did a great job of getting in and taking care of business! Hope this is the norm for the rest of the year! Just a couple of things we need to iron out and I think the remaining tournaments will run a little smoother.
First of all, I want to thank Pastor John from Sulphur Springs for his inspiring message he brought yesterday. We need more people to share what God is doing in their lives and all of you are surely welcome to do so at anytime! This is your golf league and not mine only!
Next, I need to let you know how much I appreciate your prayers as I have been going through my surgeries. I have one more litte place to have removed and I should be ok for a while.

Great Start at Andrew Johnson
April 20, 2009
A new season has begun for the Son Golf League and we had a great day, food and fellowship. I personally would like to thank all those who helped get us off to a great start in the giving of their time and effort it takes to make our league a success. I would especially like to thank Brandon Burleson and Jim Donaldson for the inspiring message they shared. I know our Lord will bless them for their willingness to be His witnesses in sharing His word.
Congratulations to Fairview Church for being last years winners of the Christian Cup in the Finale at Crockett's Ridge. This year we will also be having a new award in the Finale. The Joe Frazier award in honor of the founder of this league who has had to step away from the league due to health problems. We continue to pray for Bro. Joe and his family in their time of need.
Most of all, I need to thank Jesus Christ our Savior for all He does in the lives of all of us even though we are undeserving of anything he blesses us with and pray that in the sharing of His word many will come to know Him personally and intimately. This league is all about Him and all glory goes to Him. I will see you next month at Elizabethton G.C. Bro. Sammy
